Forte Village Review 

The team recently had the pleasure of travelling to Sardinia to review the Forte Village holiday destination. Voted the World’s Leading Resort”seventeen times in a row and offering 4* & 5* accommodation within 116 acres of lush, almost tropical surroundings. With a backdrop of the mountains leading down to a mile long stretch of white sandy beach which then gently slopes into the electric blue, warm sea this paradise offers everything in one place for a family with children of all ages.

Taking just under 3 hours to fly to Cagliari followed by a short 45 minute transfer this paradise becomes easily accessible from the UK. Choose between one of the 8 hotels or if you prefer there are several options to stay in one of the villas. Le Dune bungalows offer easy access to the beach and children’s wonderland, whilst the Borgo Villas are set at the highest part on the estate offering spectacular views and privacy. Wherever you choose to stay getting around could not be easier. Clear sign posting with "you are here” means even the smallest members of your party will find it easy to navigate. Not only are there staff everywhere who offer to assist you but also golf buggies to transport you to the next fun location.

With 21 restaurants and 14 bars to choose from the hardest part is planning which one to enjoy next.  Celebrity chefs visit on a regular basis but from the moment you sit down for a buffet breakfast with a vast choice until the last nightcap of the evening there really is something for everyone.

Chelsea Football Academy at Forte Village

Daytime activities are endless for children and teenagers alike, with the Chelsea Academy based in the heart of the village this is a must for any football fanatics up to the age of 14. The village offers everything from tennis lessons to karting. Be assured that there will be no opportunity for anyone to become bored. The children’s wonderland offers first class childcare by dedicated, highly trained staff within the nursery and the magical Mario village and Barbie’s House is also within the complex. Here they can make friends, learn to cook their own pizza and enjoy a huge array of activities within a completely safe environment.

So whilst the younger members enjoy their chosen entertainment this leaves you free to experience the incredible Thalasso Spa. Set in a tropical environment and supported by first class technicians and Doctors this spa offers treatments and relaxation, all under the Sardinian sunshine.  Experience the effects of the 6 pure Sardinian sea water pools offering a detox, regeneration and enhancement of your overall well-being. In addition to this there are staff available to discuss the best treatments for you.

Go Karting at Forte Village

The Acquaforte Clinic also offers a complete health overview under the supervision of Dr Angelo Cerina at the helm. Anything from laser treatment to a Cardiovascular check-up can be carried out and the results analysed within their own Diagnostic Lab on site.

The outstanding gym has a fresh open feel and not only offers highly trained staff to assist and advise you but all the latest equipment is on hand to enhance your training regime.

In addition to this there are beautifully appointed pools and relaxation areas all over the village plus the added benefit of the sandy beach with waiter service & fresh towels everywhere you go.

As the sun goes down and you have eaten at one of the 21 restaurants on offer the evening entertainment begins. The Piazza Maria Luigia is the hub of the village and offers some of the best groups and vocal artist for your entertainment. Surrounded by designer shops and local crafts making this a pleasant area to stroll around. Alternatively the Forte Arena offers some fabulous shows or artists during the summer months. Finishing at 11pm does not mean the evening is over as The Mahiki bar with sea views remains open and has a wonderful atmosphere or jump on a buggy and head up for some midnight karting or bowling with the Nightclub on hand to dance into the early hours under the Sardinian stars.
